Making D&D, Make Your Own Model Flocking

Grab some saw dust! We have tons from our own wood shop. If you do not you may know someone who does; ask them to put some aside for you.

I spooned about 4 or 5 heaping tablespoons into a smaller plastic container with a lid.
You can make as much as you want in whatever container you have.

Get your paint ready. You can mix your paint or not depending on the colour you want and the paint you have.

Dilute your paint with some water. Just enough to make it flow well but not enough to make it overly transparent.

Add it to your dust.
Cover with your lid.
Shake it up!

If you do not have a good distribution of colour or if the colour is not saturated enough, add more paint and shake again.

Spread your mixture on a any tray that is lined with something like parchment, wax paper or foil and let it completely dry.

Break up any clumps.
Use as is, or shake it through a mesh metal strainer to separate the finer bits.
I liked it as is, however the choice is yours.

I glue mine to projects with modpoge or hot glue. You can use what you prefer.

Here is a lighter more dormant turf mix. You can use any colour you wish!!
